Vision & Mission

Family Community Church’s vision is to be an equipping Christ-Centered church in North Fresno.

As we are led by the Holy Spirit of God, we will develop believers to spiritual maturity and equip them for their significant ministry of reaching the lost for Christ.

We desire to develop an 18.63-acre Christian campus, designed to minister to the spiritual, academic, emotional, physical and social needs of each person.

Family Community Church exists to lead the unsaved to Christ and, bring Christians to maturity by preaching and teaching the un-compromised Word of God. We boldly and with excellence present Jesus Christ and demonstrate God’s love to all people.

Further, we endeavor to equip every believer for ministry through dynamic training that is biblically based and relevant to life. The goal of this training is to develop disciples committed to building the church; and more importantly, to equip believers to take the gospel into their community and the world.

Beliefs

Family Community Church's Spiritual Foundation

One of the most divisive issues facing the local church today is the question about Bible Doctrine. Family Community Church is a non-denominational church with a firm commitment to the unadulterated, inerrant and uncompromising Word of God. We believe, as we continue to grow in our understanding of God’s Word, that our church doctrine should reflect the same without demeaning others that may disagree with us.

We have come to understand that Doctrine can be discussed in three categories:

1) Absolutes: Those Biblical beliefs that are non-negotiable that pertain primarily to God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and all of His Devine Attributes, including the way of Salvation for mankind.

2) Convictions: Those Biblical beliefs that are essentials to our Christian faith allowing us to respectfully disagree with others and realizing that the Lord will have the final word upon His return.

3) Preferences: Those Biblical beliefs and interpretations that are more governed by our culture and community of faith (ie. preference for music, style and dress).

Here at Family Community Church when discussing our doctrine with others, we strive not to elevate a preference to an absolute and/or conversely.

2 Tim 4:3-5
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

1 Tim 4:6-8
If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

Below, please review our Bible Doctrine, Faith & Message, and Official Statements.
This We Believe

The Holy Trinity of the Godhead. One God manifested through three persons: Father (Yahweh), Son (Yeshua), and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 3:16-17; I Cor. 12:3; II Cor. 13:14; Matt. 28:19)

The Biblical Creation. The Omniscient El-Shaddai (Almighty) spoke the world into existence and created mankind from the dust. (Genesis 1 & 2)

The closed Canon of the (66) Books of the Holy Bible is absolutely inerrant, unadulterated, and authoritative in its original autograph. (II Tim. 3:16-17; II Pet. 1:21)

The Absolute authority of the Holy Bible in the local church governs over any other document. (Col. 4:16; Acts 17:10-11)

The Incarnate Word of God became flesh in the person of Jesus the Christ. (John. 1:1; 1:14; Phil. 2:6-8)

The divine conception (seed of the Holy Spirit), virgin birth, and sinless life and character of Jesus, and His authority over all. (Isa. 7:14; Luke 24:38-40; Matt. 28:18)

The exemplary life, expiatory death, bodily resurrection, glorious ascension, and imminent return of Jesus for His Bride, the Church. (II Cor. 5:21; Mark 15:37; Matt. 28:1-8; Acts 1:9-11)

That eternal salvation comes by regeneration, through faith alone, by confession of the person of Jesus Christ through Holy Spirit baptism. (Rom. 10:19-13; Eph. 2:8-9)

The ordinance of water baptism by immersion as an outward sign of Spirit baptism, which produces an inward work of God’s grace and peace. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47; John 1:33; Titus 3:4-7)

The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, in memory of His vicarious death, burial, and resurrection. (I Cor. 11:23-26)

The Holy Spirit’s gifts are to be operative in the lives of the saints (holy ones) under the control of the Holy Spirit, only as He gives gifts to His body. (I Cor. 12:1-31; Rom. 12:3-8; Eph. 4:11-12)

Worshiping Jehovah/Elohim is the focus on keeping the Sabbath Day (Saturday) holy (day of rest)! Jesus came to be the saints’ rest. “The Lord’s Day” is Sunday. We worship and rest in Him. (Isa. 58:13-14; Mark 2:27-28; Matt. 28:1; Acts 20:7)

The divinely appointed Bishop/Pastor has been given full biblical authority over the local parish church. (Acts 20:28; John 21:17; I Pet. 5:1-3)

The Bible authorizes male clergy leadership only over His Church; females are not to rule over males in the home or the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. (I Tim. 3:1; Eph . 5:23; 1 Tim. 2:12-13; I Cor. 11:8-9; I Pet. 3:1)

God visits and rules His local church through His divinely-appointed Bishops/Pastors; not a Board of Directors, Moderator, Board of Trustees, or Board of Deacons, or any other group or document. It is the Bishop/Pastor who gives direction from God’s Holy Word to the church body. (I Tim. 2:7; Acts 20:28; Heb. 13:7; 13:17; I Pet. 5:1-3)

We embrace the autonomy of the local church, as was the practice in the first and second century believers, in all its affairs; and not controlled by any associations, and/or conventions. (Col. 4:15; I Cor. 12:12-14; I Cor. 16:19; Acts 16:5)

We hold to the sanctity of human life as a gift from God, and we reject abortion. Life and death are in God’s hands. (Zech. 12:1; Jer. 1:5; Ps. 139:14; Isa. 44:2)

We reject euthanasia (mercy killing) for any reason. (Exo. 20:13; Gen. 9:6; II Sam. 1:16)

The Bible order of the family consists of marriage between a male and female only, for propagation of the human race – no matter what the culture does; the Holy Church is not governed by culture, but by the Holy Bible. (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:18; Rom. 12:2; Matt. 19:4-6; Acts 5:29)

The Bible teaches that the husband is the spiritual head of his wife, and both are to submit to each other within the marriage union. Furthermore, only heterosexual relationships represent biblical marriage between a husband and a wife (male and female). (Gen. 2:24; Eph. 5:21-33)

Homosexual practice is sinfully perverted as taught in the Holy Bible. The divine norm for marriage is monogamy, and this has been the norm for marriage since creation. (Gen. 1:27; Gen. 2:24; Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13; Rom. 1:26-17)

We reject the so-called “Bible Codes” philosophy, for the Word of God is not hidden.(I Cor. 14:33; Deu. 30:11; Acts 26:26; II Cor. 4:2-3)
